Prior to joining ECC Management, Rick Covert was Vice President of State Government Relations with AFSA. Covert also previously served as Vice President, State Government Affairs for Associates First Capital Corporation (now Citi) in Dallas, where he directed the company’s political involvement, legislative oversight, and regulatory official interaction in the Eastern U.S. He has also served as Manager, Government Affairs for Norwest (now Wells Fargo) as well as for Norwest Financials domestic and international subsidiaries for ten years.
While at AFSA, Covert directed the state government relations activities in all 50 states for clients such as Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual, Countrywide, MBNA, Citi, Nissan Motor Acceptance, Ford Financial, and many other financial services companies. His specific responsibilities included: coordinating press relations, legislative lobbying and regulatory efforts on multi-state, high-profile issues, and developing and communicating client positions on issues to public officials and the media.
Covert has been involved with state level politics for over twenty years and has worked in the financial services industry for fifteen years. Covert attended Stetson University in DeLand, FL for both undergraduate (Finance) and MBA studies and studied at Concord University Law School. Covert has served on the board of directors of numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations across the country.
Jason Worley has over 20 years of experience focused in information technology, including 15 years of management experience. Jason has worked in several high-growth companies, in various sectors including healthcare, telecommunications/security, and financial clearinghouse. He understands the challenges in successfully growing a company, and has been involved with FCER since 2003, and came on full-time in 2005. Although his career has been focused on technology and business integration, over the past several years at FCER, Jason has taken on more leadership responsibilities, and now manages IT, marketing, front-office, maintenance, construction, and site-selection and development as our COO & CIO.
Jason’s education background includes an undergraduate degree in Management Science and Computer Systems from Oklahoma State University, and an MBA focused on statistics and HR from the University of Oklahoma.
Olson is currently CFO at First Choice Emergency Room. He also sits on the boards of several small-cap companies including a real estate property management firm, oil and gas investment firm, and a commercial real estate investment firm.
Previously Olson was a founder of Neos Geosolutions, an oil exploration company, Olson’s role included the financing and execution of the business operations and planning of a rapidly growing E&P company.
Prior to launching Neos Geosolutions, Olson founded Sequoia Unlimited, a niche hosting firm dedicated to providing network training infrastructure.
Olson was also an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and garnered broad financing experience by creating a new revenue and growth strategy for an enterprise software company and shaping the corporate strategy and internet carve-out approach for a major consumer retailer. He also structured joint venture terms for a software company alliance, structured and implemented a financial turn-around for a commodity manufacturer, and restructured the cost-side procurement process of a major retailer.
Olson received a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering from New Mexico State University, and an MBA with dual concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Heather has been with the company and its early iterations longer than anyone. Her background and experience is very broad having worked at the facility front desk, managed the facility office, and managed all billing and collection activities for all entities. She studied in the pre-med program while at Baylor University .
Prior to joining us, Mrs. Weimer previously worked at Metro Electric; an electrical subcontractors office. She was a one person coordinator for the entire staff; answering phones, scheduling appointments, paying bills, and handling all tax issues with the exception of federal income tax. She processed all payroll as well as payroll and sales taxes, monthly, quarterly and yearly. She also prepared estimates on residential jobs and small commercial jobs. She later joined Orthopedic Associates where she took patient histories and vital signs as well as the removing sutures and casts, applying splints and casts, and returning patient phone calls.
