Review your EOBs, Explanation of Benefits, from your insurance company. Quite often they request information from you such as accident details or Coordination of Benefits, COB. COB is a request from your insurance company to find out if you have any other insurance coverage. Most of the time, you can simply call your insurance company and give the requested information over the phone. However, until you provide them with the requested information, the claims will not be processed and will be your responsibility.
Be familiar with your benefits. Take the time to review your insurance policy, find out if you have deductibles, coinsurance or anything else that might fall under your responsibility. This knowledge will help you to make educated decisions in seeking medical care.

“We had a fabulous experience at First Choice. The facility was clean, the staff people were friendly and knowledgeable, and my 6 year old even commented on how he felt like they took good care of him. I wish I could say that we will never need to go back, but I know as a mother of two boys that we will, and I know that we will be in good hands at the First Choice ER in North Ft. Worth.”
