First Choice Emergency Room offers a new concept in emergency care: free standing, fully equipped emergency clinics that take the emergency room out of the hospital and place it in your community.

Our South Shore Harbour location is also convenient for residents in League City and Kemah for adult and pediatric emergencies, both major and minor. All of our physicians are board certified in emergency medicine, and all FCER nurses are emergency trained.

Facility Medical Director

David Olson, M.D.
Dr. Olson received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska, and then completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. While in Milwaukee, he worked in a private practice, and then served as the Director for the Emergency Medicine residency. After moving to Texas, he was the Chairman of Emergency Medicine at UT Houston Medical School, and then became president of the emergency medicine physician group at Northeast Medical Center in Humble, before joining First Choice ER in 2007. He and his wife, Debbie, have raised 4 children.
